WORLDWIDE SUPPLIER OF FIGURED HARDWOODS

Birdseye Maple

Birdseye Maple refers to an anomalous grain sometimes seen in Hard ('Rock' or 'Sugar') Maple-  Acer saccharum.

Birdseye Maple is a slow-growing dense form of Hard Maple with a hardness approaching that of genuine Rosewood. Because Birdseye Maple logs have been so highly-prized for veneer in the past 15 years, the degree of figuring in available Birdseye Maple lumber has consequently been all too conspicuously reduced.

Spectrum Hardwoods carries quantities of Birdseye Maple and other Figured Maples from 15-30 years old.
